ORVIS “LIMESTONE SPECIAL” BAMBOO FLY ROD, 8’6” The Limestone is one of the specialized Orvis rods, price above their Battenkill series, and popular on trout streams throughout the US.  Rod is SN 75268, marked for a DT6wt line, and weighing 4 ½ ounces as marked. In my experience, the rod is very good with a DT6wt line and fine with a WF5wt, especially if you are fishing a sink tip. Rod offers Orvis down locking reel seat over mahogany spacer, 6 ½” cork, hook keeper, Carboloy stripper, bright snakes, blackened NS ferrules, original bag and tube.  Finish, wraps, and hardware are excellent.  Cork has light soiling.  Both tips have serial number.  Tube label shows wear.
