OTTO ZWARG SALMON REEL, MODEL 300, 4/0

OTTO ZWARG SALMON REEL, MODEL 300, 4/0  This is a direct drive Zwarg salmon reel, 3 7/8” in diameter, 1 ¾” spool width.  Weight is 14 ounces.  It has seven drag settings with firm detents on the adjuster. Right hand wind.  Marked with initials F.K.B. in the Zwarg shop’s red lettering. Side plates are hard rubber, foot is aluminum, remaining metal is nickel silver, grasp is hard rubber or composite. On-off click is on the head plate of the Zwarg 300 series reels. Serial number is C 269, with the C a light strike slightly out of line with the digits. Cosmetic and mechanical condition is very good.  Side plates free of cracks or scratches, side plate rims free of dents, foot full 3” with very minor distortion (as shown). Operation of the reel is excellent with the drag responsive and smooth in all seven positions.   The reel has some line rub marks on the rotating pilar and the back side of the reel, suggesting that it was fished in the “rings up” position. Great reel with serious capacity for Spey.
